Nick Dempsey

Class: RS:X Windsurfing

2013 RS: X World Champion, Olympic silver and bronze medallist, Nick Dempsey first made history by winning the UK's first ever windsurfing medal at Athens 2004. He was narrowly denied a repeat of that success four years later in Beijing where he finished in an agonising fourth place. At London 2012, with a strong competitive record of winning at home, Nick was back on form and claimed his second Olympic medal. With windsurfing recently reinstated for Rio 2016, Nick now faces the challenge of upgrading his two medals with the aim of gold in Rio 2016. In Feb 2013 he won his second Windsurfing Champion title - another first for a British windsurfer.
