Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta, Weymouth

The 2010 Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta is the seventh and final event of the 2009-10 edition of the ISAF Sailing World Cup. This year's event which ran from the 9th - 14th August, and saw nearly a thousand sailors take part across the 12 Olympic classes.

Team Volvo for life athletes Paul Goodison and Nick Dempsey both scored podium places, Olympic gold medallist Paul had to settle for a silver this time around after a real battle in the Laser class with double world champion Tom Slingsby. 

RS: X Windsurfing world champion Nick Dempsey was pushed back into third place here at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. 

Ben Ainslie finished 4th on his return to the Finn class after a two year hiatus, Helena Lucas came 7th in the 2.4mr while in the 470 class, the new pairing of Sarah Ayton and Saskia Clark ended the week 14th on the leader board.
